For Flip Out, we designed and installed an inflatable theme park to sit permanently on the first floor of the newly built shopping centre at Rushden Lakes. It has been billed as the UK’s most advanced inflatable theme park and trampoline park. The location is ideal for families, Rushden Lakes being a major new shopping and leisure complex in Rushden, Northamptonshire. It first opened in 2017 and it continues to grow.
Our AirX inflatable installation was designed to fit a first floor space across two rooms and around a fire exit. The inflatable and trampoline park includes Freefall, Wipeout Balls, an obstacle course, Jelly Mountain, a slide, Basher Forest, and an inflatable maze.
A really obvious and tangible design feature is that we printed scenes from the Flip Out’s comic universe on the inflatables themselves which makes Flip Out Rushden Lakes immediately visually exciting as well as recognisable within Flip Out’s bold branding.
Another key design area pull out is the self-contained inflatable toddler area with a crawl-through tunnel, Biff Bash and a slide, all conveniently overlooked by the cafe so Mums and Dads can keep a watchful eye over a cup of tea and a piece of cake.
